PURPOSE: To prevent the leg part of a thin layer of a U-clip from projecting from the end of the leg part of a metallic part by providing a wrinkle in the head part of the thin layer.

CONSTITUTION: A wrinkle 2a is provided in the head part 3 of a thin layer 2 of a U-clip. The deformation on the inside of the head part 3 of a metallic plate 1 is absorbed by the wrinkle 2a in the stage of manufacturing said clip and therefore the leg part 4 of the layer 2 does not project from the end of the leg part 4 of the plate 1. The layer 2 does not peel from the plate 1 during use.
