PURPOSE: To omit a throughhole layer having bad influence on luminous efficiency or the like by collectively forming a throughhole and a segment in an anode segment.

CONSTITUTION: A conductive layer 2 is screen-printed on an insulated substrate 1 while further printing an insulating layer 4 on the segment except the throughhole part. Next, a throughhole layer and a segment layer are collectively formed by screen printing while using graphite paste. Thereon a phosphor layer 6 is formed for setting up an anode substrate 7. Said anode substrate 7 is furnished with a grid electrode 8, filaments 9 and a cover glass 10 for being set up in a phosphor display tube after being subjected to exhaust process.
