PURPOSE: To obtain a titled color photosensitive material having high density and a good granular characteristic by incorporating a specific ureido type cyan dye forming coupler in at least one layer of a silver halide emulsion layer and incorporating a fine particulate silver halide emulsion in the adjacent layer.

CONSTITUTION: The phenol cyan coupler (e.g.; formula II, formula III) which is expressed by the formula I (R is alkyl, aryl, heterocyclic ring; R1 is H, halogen, sulphonyl, sulphonamide, sulphamoyl, etc.; n is 1W5; X is a group that can be eliminated in the stage of oxidation coupling of a developing agent) and wherein the 5th place is substd. by an acylamino group and the 2nd place by an ureido group is incorporated into at least one layer of a silver emulsion layer coated on a base. A fine particular silver halide emulsion having about ≤0.1μ average particle size is incorporated into at least one layer adjacent to said layer, whereby the intended silver halide color photosensitive material is obtd.
