PURPOSE: To remarkably reduce the labor of a worker necessary for an exchange of molds and perform efficiently especially molding operation of small quantity of various kinds products, by a method wherein a connecting part, which is mold to be fitted to a fitting part fitted to a mold fitting part of a platen constituting a mold clamping part and comprised of grooves penetrating through laterally in the top and bottom of the front part and a protrusion formed of the same, is provided.
CONSTITUTION: When CPU for PMC confirms that signal of limit switches L2, L3 from an input circuit are both turned ON, the same instructs a movement of a ball screw 39 to the first stage and CPU for NC moves a mold B to a using position by driving as servomotor M2 for push and move. Upon receipt of a movement completion signal, a clamp is operated and a pin 35 is fitted in a recessed part 36 (groove 32). A movable plated is moved to a mold contacting position, an automatic clamp on a movable mold side is operated and an exchange of the molds is completed. At the time of the exchange of the molds, since the mold A which is on a using position is discharged automatically and also the mold 13 pushed into the fitting part 14 is arranged on the using position, labor of an operator is reduced drastically.
