Title:
MANUFACTURE OF ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6035743
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a photosensitive body low in cost, and superior in printing performance and heat resistance by forming an amorphous silicon layer on a polycrystalline silicon layer coating a metal face.

CONSTITUTION: The metal face, i.e. the substrate of a photosensitive member, such as an aluminum drum 11 is coated with a soln. contg. silicon particles and dried with heating to form an about 30μm thick polycrystalline silicon layer 12. On this layer 12, an about 3W5μm thick α-Si layer 13 is formed by the plasma CVD method generally used for manufacture of an α-Si photosensitive layer to obtain an intended photosensitive body. Said soln. contg. the silicon particles is prepared by mixing a silicon powder having 2W10μm particle diameter with an org. polymer binder and dissolving it into an org. solvent, such as alcohol or ketone.
