PURPOSE: To make a thin cooling and heating device by a method wherein an enlarged angle at a diffuser of a centrifugal blower is made small when a heating operation is performed and an enalrged angle of the diffuser is made large when a cooling operation is performed.

CONSTITUTION: A discharging port of a diffuser 2b of a blower 1 is fixed at a position X when a cooling operation is performed. The discharging port of the diffuser 2b of the blower 1 is moved to a position Y when a cooling operation is performed around a driving shaft 2c, resulting in making an enlarged angle of the blower to be expanded. With the above-mentioned arrangement, the diffuser 2b of the blower 1 is aligned with the width of the heating heat exchanger 4 when a heating operation is performed and is expanded to the forced feeding and discharging combustion unit 5 communicating with the heating heat exchanger 4 when cooled, thereby an air blowing passage is made up to the forced feeding and discharging combustion unit 5. Therefore, it becomes possible to make a width of heat transmitting surface of the cooling heat exchanger 7 up to the width including the forced feeding and discharged combustion unit 5 communicating with the heating heat exchanger 4.
