Abstract:
PURPOSE:To measure the weight in water easily by laying the body of an examinee on his stomach onto a weighing table provided on a weight measuring apparatus in a water tank. CONSTITUTION:Weight measuring apparatuses 3-5 are provided in the bottom part 1A of a water tank 1. A weighing table 2 is held in touch with the measuring apparatuses 3-5. A hot water supplied from a boiler is discharged into the water tank 1 through openings 6A-6C of a hollow guide pipe 6. An examinee H lies on his stomach on the weighing table 2. While the examinee holds a mouth piece 10 in his mouth, the weight in water MBW and the air amount in the respiratory organ VLR are measured. The body density DB is obtained by substituting the measured values into a predetermined formula. Moreover, Fat% (ratio of the fat to the whole body) is obtained.
