PURPOSE: To enable to cool and heat a room to be air-conditionered by use of heat or cold accumulated in the midnight, by connecting a heat accumulating tank in a cold or hot water circulating passage extended between an indoor heat exchanger and an indoor unit of a space cooling and heating apparatus via a heat accumulating medium circulating passage, and connecting an outdoor heat exchanger to the heat accumulating medium circulating passage.
CONSTITUTION: With changing of the direction of flow of a high-temperature, high-pressure coolant gas by shifting of a four-way valve 4, an indoor unit 11 is cooled or heated by an indoor heat exchanger 8. In case of accumulating cold by use of midnight electric power, the indoor unit 11 is by-passed by opening and closing valves 14W16, 20, 21, 28 and by-pass valves 22a, 17a in proper combination, and a heat accumulating tank 24 and the indoor heat exchanger 8 are communicated with each other via a cold or hot water circulating passage 12 and a heat accumulating medium circulating passage 19. In case of accumulating heat by use of the midnight electric power, on the other hand, an outdoor, auxiliary heat exchanger 25 and the heat accumulating tank 24 are communicated with each other via an auxiliary heat circulating passage 26, and connection between the indoor unit 11 and the indoor heat exchanger 7 is broken. Thus, it is enabled to cool or heat a room to be air-conditioned by use of heat or cold accumulated in the midnight.
