PURPOSE: To obtain an electrostatic recording body prevented from bleeding in low-speed copying, and lowering of image density in ordinary speed, by using a copolymer composed essentially of a specified resin as a principal component of an insulating resin for forming a recording layer formed on a conductive substrate.
CONSTITUTION: The copolymer is composed essentially of at least one selected from each of three groups of A; methyl methacrylate, ethyl ethacrylate, and t-butyl methacrylate, and B; glycidyl methacrylate and glycidyl acrylate, and C; compds. represented by the formula in which R1 is H or methyl and R2, R3 are each H or 1W18C alkyl or -CH2OH. It is used as a principal component of the insulating resin of the recording layer formed on the conductive substrate. The polymn. ratio of A:B:C is controlled to 70W96:2W28:2W28. This electrostatic recording body is obtained, e.g., by forming a conductive layer 2, such as electrolytic polymer of ammonium styrenesulfonate or conductive zinc oxide, and the recording layer 3 contg. the resin 4 and a pigment 5 on the surface of a base 1, such as plain paper or polyester film.
