PURPOSE: To improve the initial compatiblity of a merallic traveler with a ring and the lubricity and abrasion resistance, by using the metallic traveler having a film of an epoxy resin containing molybdenum disulfide.

CONSTITUTION: A film 4 of an epoxy resin containing fine particles 3 of molybdenum disulfide having a particle diameter ≤1μ is formed on at least the inner surface of to be in contact with a ring 2 a metallic traveler 1 for a spinning frame, e.g. a fine spinning frame or twisting frame. The thickness of the film is preferably 3W15μ. The content of the molybdenum disulfide in the resin is preferably 5W60%. The film is preferably formed by a dipping barrel from the viewpoint of the gloss, adhesivity and uniform thickness.

EFFECT: No yarn breakage and fluffing or traveler burn.
