PURPOSE: To attain miniaturization, thin profile and also channel selection operation of a receiver main body by separating the receiver into the receiver main body having a reception circuit and an earphone part incorporating a battery being a power supply for the reception circuit.

CONSTITUTION: The receiver main body 1 is provided with the reception circuit 11 having circuits from a high frequency tuning circuit and a demodulation circuit, a low frequency amplifier 12 and an earphone jack 41. On the other hand, the earphone part 2 is provided with an earphone main body 51, a battery 61 and an earphone plug 42. In plugging the plug 42 into the jack 41 in case of operation, the reception circuit 11 and the amplifier 12 are operated by using the battery 61 as the power supply. Thus, miniaturization and thin profile of the receiver main body 1 are attained since the battery 61 is contained in the earphone section 2. Since the reception circuit is provided to the main body 1, the channel selection is attained easily.
