PURPOSE: To receive a lot of image data with a comparatively small capacity of a buffer memory by using alternately two buffer memories, applying expansion processing to the data every time one memory is occupied and transferring it to a pattern memory.
CONSTITUTION: A compression data discriminating section 10 checks whether or not data is subjected to compression when a delivery control section 9 transmits the data to a data expanding section 11 from an image data buffer and informs the result. When the data stored in an image data buffer 3 is all transmitted to a pattern buffer 13 and the buffer is idle, while an input data is filled in an image data buffer 4 and "1" is set to a flag 8, the delivery control section 9 starts transmitting the data in the buffer 4 to the expanding section 11. When the data input from the host is continued, the system controls it that the data is received again in the buffer 3. The expanding processing of data is executed and the result is displayed while the data is received by using alternately the buffers 3 and 4.
