PURPOSE: To prevent the putrefaction of sesame-containing bean curd without using a preservative, and to enable the long-term preservation of the bean curd, by filling sesame-containing bean curd free from preservation in a gusset bag laminated with metallic foil, sealing the open end of the bag, and sterilizing the content.

CONSTITUTION: The sesame-containing bean curd 10 is filled and sealed in a gusset bag 12 for retort pouch. The gusset bag 12 is made of a film laminated with metallic foil, and composed of three layers, i.e. polyester film, aluminum foil and polyethylene film. The bag can be manufactured in the same manner as the paper bag for the packaging of YOKAN (sweet jelly of azuki beans), by bonding both ends 14 of a rectangular laminated film to form a tube, and folding the tube to obtain a rectangular cross-section with the upper and the lower sides 15, 16 having equal lengths and the left and the right sides 17, 18 having equal heights. Both open ends of the gusset bag are sealed after the charge of the sesame-containing bean curd, and the content is sterilized under pressure by heating in a retort.
