PURPOSE: To eliminate complicated corresponding processing at a central unit against changes in users by providing a terminal address setter and a user address setter to a terminal device and making the conversion from the terminal address to the user address possible.
CONSTITUTION: In collecting meter checking data, when the data of the terminal device 6 is collected, the #1 address signal is transmitted to terminal devices 6∼ 8 by the central unit 1 via a signal transmission receiving section 5 from an address generating section 4. Each terminal receives an address signal at a signal transmission receiving section 10 and a comparison section 11 compares the address with a terminal address set at a terminal address setter 12. The terminal 6 discriminates the address from the own address, and returns the meter checking data stored in a memory section 15 via a counter section 16 from a meter 17 together with the user address in the user address setter 14 to the device 1 via the transmission receiving section 10 as the data signal. The device 1 records the meter checking data to the memory section 2 together with the user address corresponding to the terminal address.
