A

PURPOSE: To provide the titled composition resistant to the discoloration during the processing, and giving a molded article having stable color tone, by compounding a thermoplastic resin with specific amounts of a halogen-containing flame-retardant, an antimony compound, and a compound containing alcoholic hydroxyl group.

CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.(wt.) of a thermoplastic resin (preferably a styrene- based resin, especially polystyrene, high-impact polystyrene, etc.) is compounded with (B) 5W30pts. of a halogen-containing flame-retardant (e.g. decabromodiphenyl ether), (C) 1W10pts. of an antimony compound (e.g. antimony trioxide) and (D) 0.01W10pts., preferably 0.1W5pts. of a compound containing alcoholic hydroxyl group (e.g. decyl alcohol, furfuryl alcohol, etc.).
