Title:
COMPRESSION MOLDING METHOD OF FIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC SHEET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6031927
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a molded piece high in fibrous density by a method wherein a slide takes the max. speed at the position wherein the mold touches the blank, then stops at the bottom dead center for a specified time, then rises again.

CONSTITUTION: The material sheet 11 is cut by shearing machine or other cutting machine to a suitable size to prepare the blanks 12. The necessary weight or volume of the blanks 12 is heated uniformly in the furnace 13 up to the molten temperature of resin. A heated blank 12 is pressed in the closed mold 14 and during mold closing coolant such as water is let to flow in a cooling water chamber 15 to remove the heat left after completion of pressing. When the molded piece 16 has been hardened completely, the slide is elevated and at the same time a knockout pin 17 is knocked out to release the molded piece from the mold and to move it to the secondary processes such as deflashing, piercing, etc.
