PURPOSE: To enable a highly accurate evaluation of the sintering property by abserving into material of sintered are directly with a fiber scope to determine the area ratio between the powdered ore bulked up by melting and the view field of the fiber scope.
CONSTITUTION: A pan 1 for sintering test is charged with material 2 for sintered ore comprizing powdered ore, powdered limestone, return ore and powdered coke the same as used in an actual machine. One end 4a of a fiber scope 4 is inserted horizontally into the material 2 from the side wall 3 of the pan 1. The fiber scope 4 is provided to observe the sintering process of the material 2 and the sintering process is taken with a TV camera 5 connected to the other end 4b of the fiber scope 4, projected onto a monitor TV6 while being recorded on a video record 7.
