Abstract:
PURPOSE:To relieve the fatigue of the operator by providing a foot switch by which the designer applies a prescribed input to a computer to improve the efficiency of the input operation of the CAD device. CONSTITUTION:The designer gives an input to the computer via a terminal device in the form of conversation and an object design is executed by the Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) device. The CAD device consists of a table 1, a CRT2, a tablet 3, a menu sheet 4, a stylus pen 5, a keyboard 6 and a function keyboard 8. The CAD device is provided with a foot switch 12 by which the designer gives a prescribed input to a host computer 10. Then a specific code is set to the foot switch 12, the set code is inputted to the computer 10 according to the contact 13 of the foot switch 12 to improve the efficiency of the input operation of the CAD device thereby relieving the fatigue of the operator.
