Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simply improve durability by forming a cylindrical part of a small diameter in the journal part of a shaft for a turbine rotor made of high chrome alloy steel and fixing to said cylindrical part cylindrical sleeves made of low chrome alloy steel through an explosion welding method. CONSTITUTION:The journal part 3 of a turbine rotor made of high chrome alloy steel is processed into a cylindrical part 6 of a small diameter. Cylindrical journal sleeves 7a, 7b made of low chrome alloy steel, and diveded into halves, are fitted to said cylindrical part 6 and gun powder is laid outside said sleeves to fix them by an explosion welding method. Thus, respective journal sleeve 7a, 7b and the journal part 3 are joined in the cylindrical part 6 and further, dividing faces 8a, 8b for respective journal sleeve 7a, 7b are also completely joined. Subsequently, affer performing quality adjustment through heat treatment, the sleeve 7 made of low chrome alloy steel is mechanically processed and the turbine rotor is completed.
