PURPOSE: To join dissimilar metallic materials to each other easily by spot welding with good productivity, by embedding a metallic material to be welded having good weldability to the dissimilar metallic materials on the one welding place of the dissimilar metallic materials.

CONSTITUTION: A member 3 to be welded of bass or phosphor brozone is embedded by required amt. in a base metal 2 of copper or a copper alloy by working with press dies in the production of an electrical contact point of, for example, Schlatter system. The base metal is inserted between two electrodes 4 and after a contact point material 5 is spot welded thereto, the material 5 is cut to a suitable height with a cutter 6. The cut material is formed to the shape of a contact point with a punch 7, whereby the contact point is obtd.
