PURPOSE: To heighten the rigidity of a car outer end part as well to make the car outer end part locatable to a fender panel in an easy manner, by forming the car outer end part as a setting part for a fender protector so as to have double vertical walls being opposed with each other.

CONSTITUTION: An outer end part is made up of a car outer side wall 11 having a burr 7 produced in cutting, a car inner side wall 12 opposed to the car outer side wall 11 and situated in the inner side and a bottom wall 13 formed between the car outer side wall 11 and both vertical walls 11 and 12. The burr 7 of an outer edge of the car outer side wall 11 forms a projecting part 15 which sets a cutting direction so as to be projected opposite to the inner surface of a fender panel 1 and situated from a tip end of the burr 7 to the side of the fender panel 1. A fender protector P is installed with a screw after a setting part 5 of the car inner side end part is attached to a hoodledge panel 2 and the bottom wall 15 of the car outer side end part is contacted to the inner surface of a body flange 6 of the fender panel 1.
