CONSTITUTION: A subscriber receiver of a multi-channel CATV system including toll broadcasting is provided with a contract information storage means 5 to store toll broadcasting reception contract information, tuning means to tune a receiving channel, mixer 1 to enable the reception of the tuned channel, local oscillator 2, and control part 4 to control the output of the local oscillator 2 based on the toll broadcasting reception contract information and the tuned channel and when the tuned channel is contained in the toll broadcasting reception contract information, the reception is enabled by operating the local oscillator 2. When the tuned channel is not contained in the toll broadcasting reception contract information, it is also available to display an output from a guide information generator 6 by stopping the operation of the local oscillator 2.
