A processing section 10 outputs a raster trigger and a frame trigger, in synchronization with the raster trigger to a function generator 8 and a galvanomirror driver 9, when an external signal is inputted. The function generator 8 generates positive-phase and negative-phase light delay scanning voltages and applies them to optical phase modulators 4, 5. The galvanomirror driver 9 generates a galvanomirror drive voltage, in synchronization with an inputted frame trigger and applies it to a galvanomirror 7b. The optical phase modulators 4, 5 scan the optical path length of the reference light and the signal light in the direction of an optical axis (depth direction of organism). An irradiation section 7 scans the irradiation point of signal light on the surface of the organism, by making a round trip over a prescribed distance in a straight form, along the surface of the organism during a single period of the galvanomirror drive voltage.
