To provide a toner for electrostatic image development excellent in low-temperature fixing property, printing durability and storage stability.
The toner for electrostatic image development includes colored particles including at least a colorant, a binder resin, a release agent and a charge control agent, wherein an amount of a tetrahydrofuran-insoluble component in the toner for electrostatic image development is 40-70 wt.%, and an amount of loose gel represented by difference (b-a) is ≥1%, wherein a is a proportion (%) of a peak area in a molecular weight region of 500,000-5,000,000 to a molecular weight distribution of 500-5,000,000 obtained by measuring a tetrahydrofuran-soluble component A, by gel permeation chromatography, in a dispersion prepared by adding 49.9 g of tetrahydrofuran to 0.1 g of the toner for electrostatic image development and dissolving the toner by stirring at room temperature for 1 h, and b is a proportion (%) of a peak area in a molecular weight region of 500,000-5,000,000 to a molecular weight distribution of 500-5,000,000 obtained by similarly measuring a tetrahydrofuran-soluble component B in a dispersion prepared by subjecting the above dispersion to ultrasonic treatment for 10 min.
