Title:
TONER TRANSFER DEVICE IN RECORDING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5830777
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize a good recording without image disorder, by forming an electric insulating layer in a transfer member with materials which have a prescribed volume specific resistance value and are difficult to charge frictionally with a toner.

CONSTITUTION: A transfer member 50, a power source 5B for bias voltage, a blade 6 as a cleaning means, a power souce 6A for discharging, and a recovering member 7 are provided. The transfer member 50 is formed to a shape like a roller, and an electric insulating thin layer 52 is provided on the circumferential face part of a metallic roller 51. This thin layer 52 is formed with a copolymer resin between styrene and acryl and has a volume specific resistance of 1012+1 Ωcm and has a thickness of 3μ. A peculiarity of downward movement is given to the transfer member 50 by a spring and is moved to a holding position, which is separated from a toner 1, by the action of the spring when recording is not performed, and the transfer member 50 is pulled upward against the force of the spring by a solenoid, to which power is supplied for recording, and is moved to the transfer position shown in figure when recording is performed.
