To provide a toner having excellent fixability, ejected paper adhesion suppressing property and cleanability in a high-speed development system, and providing stable images (in particular, excellent in uniformity of fixed surfaces) even when continuous printing is carried out in large numbers.
The toner contains at least a binder resin, a release agent and a colorant, wherein (a) in a GPC-RALLS-viscometer analysis of a tetrahydrofuran (THF)-soluble component obtained when the toner is allowed to stand in THF at 25°C for 24 h, inertial square radius at the peak top of a main peak is 1.0-3.8 nm, and (b) heat ΔH1 (J/g) of formation of an endothermic main peak in temperature up in a DSC curve of the toner measured with a differential scanning calorimeter and heat ΔH2 (J/g) of formation of a THF-soluble component obtained when the toner is subjected to Soxhlet extraction for 16 hr satisfy the relational expression (1): 1.5<ΔH2/ΔH1<2.5.
