Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toothpaste composition having excellent shape holding properties on a toothbrush and dispersibility in the oral cavity.
SOLUTION: This toothpaste composition is obtained by formulating a crosslinked polyacrylic acid or its salt and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose in (1:1) to (1:3) mass ratio as a binder and an inorganic thickener having 2.0-3.0 mL/g amount of liquid absorption in an amount of 2-8 mass% based on the whole composition. The moisture content in the composition is ≥45 mass%.
