To provide a top plate which enables a user to easily stand up and sit down without harming functions of the top plate.
Three long holes 4 are formed respectively along edges 2A, 2B and penetrated through the top plate 2 near the edges 2A, 2B of the top plate 2 of a table 1. Each long hole 4 allows a user to put in fingers from the forefinger to the little finger and the outer part of the long hole on the top plate plays the role of a handle. When a handicapped person wants to stand up in a condition sitting on a chair 10 of a table 1 set, he/she puts fingers from the forefinger to the little finger into the nearest long hole 4 among long holes on the top plate and extends the thumb to the lower end part of the top plate 2 to firmly grab the end part of the top plate 2 and supports his/her body with his/her strength so as to enable him-/her-self easily and quickly stand up.
