Abstract:
To provide a method for adjusting the output of a torque sensor by determining a magnetically neutral position, aligning the magnetic neutrality with the mechanical neutrality, and minimizing the offset fluctuation due to the temperature change in the torque sensor.SOLUTION: Output response characteristics showing a relation between a rotational position of a multipolar ring magnet 11 with respect to a stator unit 19 and an output of a magnetic sensor 15 are obtained at first and second positions with different axial positions, the rotational position of the multipolar ring magnet 11 with respect to the stator unit 19 at an intersection of the output response characteristics obtained at the first and second positions is defined as a magnetically neutral position where the magnetic flux density becomes zero.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
