Title:
TORQUE SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3309604
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a torque sensor which can detect an abnormality such as an inferior connection of a coil, etc., changing a pair of detecting voltages in the same manner by the output of a differential amplifier circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The torque sensor has a pair of coils 15, 16 changing respective inductances in opposite directions in accordance with a torque, and differential amplifier circuits 34, 36 for differentially amplifying a pair of detecting voltages C, C' induced by the coils 15, 16. The torque sensor detects the torque from outputs of the differential amplifier circuits 34, 36. The torque sensor is provided with a detecting circuit 100 which sends out a detecting signal E when the detecting voltage C input thereto exceeds a predetermined upper limit and a predetermined lower limit, and a control circuit 110 which controls the differential amplifier circuit 34 upon receipt of the detecting signal E to make the output D of the differential amplifier circuit 34 a predetermined value outside a steady output.
