PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of an indistinct part on an obtained image, by providing the dental arch shape detector connected to a microcomputer on-line or off-line and transmitting the data thereof to the microcomputer to control X-ray imaging.
CONSTITUTION: A dental arch shape detector 14 is inserted in the oral cavity of a patient to be bitten by upper and lower teeth. various conditions necessary for imaging are set by an operation machine 1 and, when an imaging order is emitted, a total jaw X-ray imaging machine 12 starts imaging and data are transmitted to a microcomputer on-line or off-line from the dental arch shape detector 14 in the oral cavity and the microcomputer performs control so that imaging is performed under the imaging condition fitted to the dental arch shape of the patient. The dental arch shape detector 14 is bitten by teeth and, when the electrodes are brought into contact with the teeth, a current flows between the electrodes and, when a change of a current is detected, the part bitten by teeth and the bitten state thereof can be judged. By the above mentioned constitution, the imaging fitted to the dental arch shape of a specific patient can be performed and no indistinct part is generated in an obtained photograph.
