PURPOSE: To obtain the touch coordinate input device improved for a user to omit a coordinate adjusting process with manual operation each time the device is used by automatically adjusting coordinates each time the device is used concerning the touch coordinate input device in an electrostatic capacity system.
CONSTITUTION: At the touch coordinate input device in the electrostatic capacity system, electrodes 61 for coordinate adjustment are diagonally provided at least at the intersections of coordinate axes forming the border of touch panel coordinate detecting areas, a capacitor 63 grounding another pole is connected through an analog switch 62 to these respective electrodes 61 for coordinate adjustment. A coordinate adjusting means 7 is provided to set the electrodes for coordinate adjustment as coordinate origins in the case of starting the use, and this touch coordinate input device automatically execute the same process as a process, which is manually operated by the user at a touch coordinate input device concerning conventional technique, each time the use is started.
