PURPOSE: To provide a touch panel device capable of not causing malfunction even when a touch panel surface is pressed down by a frame-like cover and simplifying the incorporating structure of a touch panel.
CONSTITUTION: The plate-like touch panel A composed by providing X and Y direction reflection arrays so as to be parallel with each other on a glass substrate, providing a call originator corresponding to one end of one reflection array and providing a receiver corresponding to one end of the other reflection array is supported on a supporting frame and the frame-like cover 15 is attached so as to cover the reflection array around the upper surface of the touch panel A. Small projections 17 in contact with the touch panel surface are integrally provided on the surface on the touch panel side of the inner circumferential edge of the frame-like cover 15 with a fixed gap.
