Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traction device which exhibits safety and security at an improved level.SOLUTION: A traction device (10) having at least one motor (18) includes: an epicyclic gear train (22) comprising first, second and third elements selected from an internal sun gear (24), an external ring gear (26) and a planetary gear (30), in which the first element is integrally fixed to an output shaft (19) of the motor and is rotated, and the second element drives and rotates an axle (12) of a vehicle; detection means (36) for detecting abnormality concerning the motor (18); releasable lock means (34) which can take a lock constitution for locking the rotating third element and a release constitution for releasing the third element; and control means (38) for performing command control maintaining of the lock means (34) in the lock constitution when abnormality is not detected, and for moving the lock means (34) to the release constitution when abnormality is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
