CONSTITUTION: This device is a traffic information receiver which receives broadcast including the traffic information and displays it by superimpsing on the map with the symbol marks of the traffic information, and the device is provided with memory 43 which stores a position on a display screen displaying the symbol marks of the traffic information. a means which designates the symbol marks of the traffic information by the driver, a means 44 which detects the position on the display screen designated by the driver, and a means 45 which compares the position designated by the driver with the position displaying the symbol marks of the traffic information and retrieves the positions where match is obtained, and the device is constituted in such a way that the detail of the traffic information designated by the driver is read out of another memory 41. and it can be displayed on a display device.
