To provide a traffic information processing system allowing collection of travel data of a vehicle by using communication records of a mobile terminal from the vehicle regardless of the moving speed of the vehicle.
This traffic information processing system has: a center device 2 collecting the travel data of the vehicle, and distributing traffic information; a large number of mobile terminals 1b each having a traffic information distribution request means 11a performing a distribution request of the traffic information to the center device, and a traffic information reception means 12b receiving the traffic information. The center device has: a traffic information collection means 22 acquiring at least one of the traffic information reception and the traffic information distribution request in the large number of mobile terminals, holding it as the communication record, producing position-time data of a vehicle group based on communication time information and position information of each of the large number of mobile terminals obtained associatively to the communication record to produce a database, and holding it as the traffic information; and a traffic information distribution means 21 returning the traffic information related to a position of the mobile terminal requested according to the request from the traffic information distribution request means based on the database.
