PURPOSE: To obtain traffic information at the arbitrary time in an arbitrary place.

CONSTITUTION: A mobile body 9 always detects the running position based on information from a GPS satellite 7. Meanwhile, a traffic information center 8 gathers and analyzes traffic information and transmits the result along with information indicating a region to which the result must be transmitted. When the position measurement result coincides with information which represents a region transmitted from the traffic information center, the mobile body 9 selects traffic information from the traffic information center 8 and displays it on a display device 5.
