Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a train monitoring system in which continuous data consolidation for the whole of one train formation can be implemented while improving maintenance performance.SOLUTION: A train monitoring system comprises substations SS1, SS2, SS3, SS4, which are installed at plural platform cars B1, B2, B3, B4, of railway vehicles T1, T2, and detect abnormality of the vehicles or a railroad by processing platform car information detected by sensors, and a main station MS which is coupled with these substations through a wireless multiple hop network. The platform car information and the abnormality information upon detecting abnormality at each substation are integrated to and recorded by the main station through plural substations, the carrier sense time of the substation detecting abnormality is shortened, and the abnormality information is transmitted before the platform car information of the adjacent substation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
