To obtain a training supporting device which can automatically discriminate a dummy target and an actual target from each other when the actual target appears during the course of radar tracking training which is carried out by inputting a video signal (dummy target signal) assuming a target echo to a radar receiver.

A dummy target generator 13 which generates specifically modulated dummy target signals, a signal modulation and demodulation circuit 14 which only demodulates the modulated dummy target signals, and signal processors 15 and 16 which extract the demodulated dummy target signals out of the mixture of dummy target signals and actual target signals are additionally provided to radar. A training supporting device automatically discriminates an actual target and a dummy target from each other by arranging this system in parallel with an already existing system which processes received signals as they are and comparing and correlating the outputs of both systems with each other.
