PURPOSE: To prevent a data storing part from being damaged and to raise the rigidity of a card by forming an area for storing a dealing data by an optical means on the surface of the card, and covering the upper face of its area with a transparent protecting member having the almost same thickness as an embossed area.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic stripe 2 is formed in the vicinity of one side of the surface or the rear side of a board 1 conforming with an external size of JIS or ISO of a transaction card, and an embossed area 3 is formed in the vicinity of the other side of the surface side. This board 1 is formed to be a layer structure by board members 4aW4c, print-carved painting surfaces 5a, 5b, and protecting films 6a, 6c. Also, an adhesive agent layer 7 is formed on the surface of the area 3, and a heat sensible material 8 is stuck onto its upon face. Transaction data such as an account number, a name of a handling office, etc. are stored in this heat sensible material 8 by utilizing a laser light. The surface of the heat sensible material 8 for storing said transaction data is covered with a protecting member 9, its heights is set to the almost same as a character of the area 3, a damage of a data storing part is prevented, and a rigidity of the card is raised.
