Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a transducer assembly body, a proximity sensor, and a position detector which are simple, highly reliable, and suitable for vehicles such as trucks which use appropriate ultrasonic waves.

CONSTITUTION: Segmentlike electrodes 18 are arranged on both faces of a polymer piezoelectric film 16 and are bonded and supported on arclike faces 24, 26. A transducer assembly body which radiates ultrasonic waves from the piezoelectric film is provided. A plurality of these transducer assembly bodies are used to provide a proximity sensor and a position detector.
