The transfer device comprises (1) a supporting plate 2, (2) two sealing members 3 which are provided on a lower side of the supporting plate 2, abutted on an object 7 for transfer, and extending substantially parallel to each other, (3) suction holes formed between the two sealing members, and (4) a suction means (not shown) for sucking a space surrounded by the supporting plate 2, the two sealing members 3 and the object 7.
