PURPOSE: To provide a transfer mechanism by which an object to be conveyed can be surely transferred from the rear end part of one chain conveyor to the front end part of the other adjacent chain conveyor, and the maintenance is easily carried out.
CONSTITUTION: O-rings 4a, 4b, which are made of a material with a large coefficient of friction and give propelling force to an object 8 to be conveyed while touching and supporting the object 8 to be conveyed, are arranged on the outer circumferential parts of guide rollers 9a, 9b, which are arranged in at least one of a sprocket shaft 6a in the rear end part 2a of one chain conveyor 1a and a sprocket shaft 6b in the front end part 2b of the other chain conveyor 1b. The guide rol1ers 9a, 9b, in which the O-rings 4a, 4b are fitted, are arranged on both end sides, which are situated in the further outsides of bearing mechanisms 10a, 10b rotationally supporting sprockets 7a, 7b and the sprocket shafts 6a, 6b, of the sprocket shafts 6a, 6b.
