PURPOSE: To execute image transfer with high reliability by arranging a process for destaticizing transfer paper after a transfer process.

CONSTITUTION: The destaticizing process is properly inserted after a 1st transfer process and after a 3rd transfer process e.g. in the transfer process. If only the transfer process is continuously executed without inserting destaticizing process, current must be remarkably increase after plural transfer processes. In order to prevent current increase, the destaticizing process is inserted. However the destaticizing process is executed every transfer, the charge of toner grains is excessively destaticized, the toner is turned to non-charged state, has no electrostatic force in a succeeding transfer and the adhering quantity to the photosensitive drum 1 side is increased. Therefore, it is preferable to execute the destaticizing process after the 1st transfer process based upon black toner, execute cyan transfer C and Magenta transfer M, execute the destaticizing process, and then execute yellow transfer Y.
