PURPOSE: To rationally smoothen out longitudinal wrinkles generated by forced releasing after printing or the like, by a construction wherein a sliding contact member moved relatively to a film from base in the moving direction of the base is provided over a substantially entire width of the base, and a sliding contact surface of the member is provided with grooves.
CONSTITUTION: After transferring an ink onto a recording paper, the paper and an ink sheet 1 are released from each other, and on the immediate downstream of the releasing point, a wrinkle smoothing-out roller 10 is provided on the back side of the ink sheet 1 between an outlet-side shaft and a bypass roller. With the roller 10 rotated, the outer peripheral surface 12 thereof is relatively moved in the moving direction of the sheet 1, and the opposed positions of the spiral grooves 13, 14 provided in the surface 12 and the sheet 1 are gradually moved toward both side ends of the sheet 1. Therefore, longitudinal wrinkles generated in the sheet 1 due to forced releas ing after printing or the like are first caught by recessed parts 132, then make contact with stepped parts 131, and are gradually moved toward the side ends of the sheet 1 along the stepped parts 131. Accordingly, elimination of the wrinkles is contrived on the side of both side ends of the sheet 1, and the wrinkles can be rationally smoothed out.
