Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent transferability and at the same time, outstanding image fixing properties to a transfer medium by providing a peelable layer at least, on one of the faces of a support and also a transfer layer containing a self-crosslinking polymer on the peelable layer.
SOLUTION: A peelable layer containing a silicon compound is provided at least, on one of the faces of a support. In addition, a transfer layer containing a self-crosslinking polymer is provided on the peelable layer. The silicon compound is preferable a normal temperature curable silicone rubber, and the self- crosslinking polymer is preferable a polymer containing a methylol group and/or an alkoxymethyl group as a self-crosslinking component. An image is formed on the surface of the transfer layer with a toner ink or dye, and the surface of the transfer layer is thermally brought into contact under pressure with a transfer medium. Further, the transfer layer is cooled down to a room temperature and the support is peeled off. Thus the image is retransferred and the heat resistance stability and the fixing properties of the image are improved.
