To make possible observing normal state character and figure from surface/rear surface both sides and reducing light and observing through the other side by respectively displaying normal character and/or figure on the surface/rear surface of a display area consisting of sets of many opaque parts.

A translucent display sheet 10 is formed by alternately arranging respective strip-like opaque parts 11a-11z and transparent parts 12a-12y. When a character of 'B' as shown in (A) is displayed by the opaque parts 11a-11z, all partial displays of the character and/or the figure visible from the surface/ rear surface are different. In such a manner, even when the translucent display sheet 10 constituted of combining the opaque parts 11a-11z and the transparent parts 12a-12y is observed from a surface and a rear surface, the 'B' of the same style of handwriting becomes visible. Thus, the sets of the opaque parts 11a-11z becomes the display area, a scene and a thing existing in the opposite side of it are visible through the parts of the transparent parts 12a-12y.
