Abstract:
To prevent the extension of a difference in delay times of frames from respective switch parts, in an L2/L3 switch in which the switch parts are made redundant.
The amounts of frames stagnant in buffers 56 inside redundant switch parts 28, 30 are detected for each of destination output interfaces and on the basis of a difference therebetween, readout by a scheduler part 64 is regulated. Thus, a difference in the stagnant amounts is prevented from being enlarged, and the extension of the difference in delay times is prevented.
