Command value DSLU2 which will be a control signal used for next gear shift is corrected by learning of a learning control means 194 so that a gear shift starting time TSIZIN detected by gear shift starting time detecting means 192 can be controlled within a preliminary settled range (T1 to T2). Consequently, as the gear shift starting time TSIZIN ranging from shift command output to shift start is controlled within the above mentioned settled range at all times, whereby response delay caused by low supply hydraulic pressure to a brake B3 of hydraulic fluid and gear shift shock caused by high supply hydraulic pressure of hydraulic fluid is properly restrained.
