Abstract:
To provide a reception device enabling a user to view a subscribed program without failing to execute ECM and EMM processes necessary for descrambling.SOLUTION: According to the embodiment, a reception device comprises: a tuner part which receives a service signal; a descrambler which receives scrambled content output from the tuner part; a control part which controls at least the tuner part and the descrambler; and a CAS module which acquires a second key (Ks) to be given to the descrambler. The control part is set to execute processes of minimum R (an integer of 1 or more) EMM within a processing grace period to the CAS module after the EMM per one entity is received. After detecting the EMM of the one entity and performing R processing within an EMM processing grace period, the control part suppresses transmission of a command to the CAS module with respect to the EMM within at least the grace period when detecting the following EMM.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 25
